The Artist Soul

The Artist Soul is based at 9A, Laxmi Industrial Estate, right near Link Road in Andheri West. It’s the same big complex where a lot of businesses are based. We have a small operation here, and we’ve been in this unit for a while. Being in an industrial estate means things are a bit rough around the edges. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor is always a bit dusty from all the work going on. We handle different kinds of creative projects here. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a fancy meeting. We usually have music playing on a small radio while we work. The space is filled with things we’ve made and materials we’re planning to use next. Sometimes the heat in Andheri gets to be a lot, so we have a few fans going all day. We mostly just keep to ourselves and focus on the work. It’s a lot of manual stuff, using our hands and trying to get the details right. Neighbors from other units sometimes pop in to borrow a tool or just to say hello. It’s a nice community of people who are all just trying to make a living. We don't have a mission statement or anything. We just show up, do the work, and go home when the sun sets. It’s a simple life, and we try to stay out of the way of the big trucks.
