Durgesh Sawant Photography has been operating out of this area for a good while. We are located near the Bangkok Station Road, which is right in the Thakurli Est part of Mumbai. It’s a busy spot near Domli City. The studio isn't hard to find if you know the landmark. We spend most of our time out on shoots or sitting at the desk going through hundreds of photos. It’s a lot of work, more than people think. Sometimes the shop is empty because we are at a wedding or an event somewhere else in Mumbai. We keep our gear here and do the editing in the back room. It’s a simple space, mostly just backdrops and some lights. If you're coming from the station, it's just a short walk. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Thakurli is always moving. We don't have a big corporate setup. It's just about taking photos and making sure they look okay before handing them over. Usually, people call ahead to see if we're in. We do portraits, some local events, and whatever else comes our way. It's a small business, and we handle everything ourselves. Sometimes the tea guy from next door comes by and we take a break. That’s just how it is here. Nothing fancy, just us and our cameras near the station. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay.
