Suschem Welfare Foundation

We have been set up at the Vithaldas Chamber on the sixth floor for a while now. It is right there on Mumbai Samachar Marg in the Fort area. It gets really busy around here during the day, you know how South Mumbai can be. We started the Suschem Welfare Foundation because we saw things in the city that needed someone to pay attention. There is a lot of walking up and down these old buildings in Fort. Most days we are just busy with a lot of paperwork or meeting people who happen to come by the office. It is not a fancy place at all, just a spot where we can get the work done. People often ask what we do, and mostly we just try to help out where it makes sense to us. Being in this part of Mumbai helps because we are close to all the main offices. The traffic is a nightmare though, so we try to avoid driving if we can. Sometimes the lift in the building takes forever so we end up waiting in the lobby talking to the neighbors. It is just a small group of us working here. We do not have a marketing team or anything polished like that. We just focus on our day-to-day tasks and keep things moving. If you are ever near the Fort area, you might see our small sign. We have been here long enough that the local tea stall guy knows us by name.
