Surya Arts

You can find Surya Arts over at 161 Dadi Sheth Agairy Lane. We are up on the first floor. Chirabazar is a tight area, the lanes are narrow and there are always carts moving goods around. Being on the first floor is a bit quieter than the ground level, but you still hear the city. We work on various art-related pieces here. It’s not a huge studio, just a couple of rooms where we keep our supplies and finished work. Most of the day is spent checking the items before they go out. We’ve got a small team, just a few of us who have been here since the start. We don’t do much advertising; people mostly find us because they know the lane or they’ve heard about us from someone else. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, so we tell everyone to watch their step. Dadi Sheth Agairy Lane has its own rhythm. We try to stay organized, but sometimes the sketches and papers pile up on the tables. It’s just the way it goes when you’re busy. We focus on the practical side of the art business, making sure things are packed well so they don’t break. It’s a steady life here in Chirabazar. We like the neighborhood, even if it is a bit crowded. It feels like home to us at Surya Arts.
