Suman Gallery

Suman Gallery is located in Mulund West 2. It is a quiet kind of place. Most days it is just me here, surrounded by the items we have on display. It isn't a massive space, so you can see everything in a few minutes if you're in a hurry. I spend a good part of the morning dusting things off and making sure the lighting is hitting the right spots. Mulund West 2 is a bit more residential, so we don't get the crazy rush you see in other parts of the city. People mostly wander in when they are out for a walk or looking for something specific for their homes. I have a small desk in the corner where I do all my paperwork. The walls are painted a neutral color so they don't distract from what we are showing. Sometimes a neighbor will drop by just to chat for half an hour about the weather or the local news. It’s that kind of neighborhood. I don’t have a big marketing plan or anything. I just open the shutters in the morning and wait to see who comes through the door. It gets a bit slow during the monsoon when nobody wants to be out, but that gives me time to reorganize the shelves. It’s a simple life running a small gallery like this. Nothing too complicated or stressful, just steady work and keeping things tidy.
