Strijana Foundation

You can find us over in Malad West, specifically in the Malwani area. We operate out of Matru Chayya Cottage, which is on the second floor of a building near the Ram Mandir Road. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren't used to the local lanes. Strijana Foundation isn't some shiny corporate entity. We are just a small team working out of this old cottage-style building. The space is a bit tight, especially with all the records and materials we keep around. We chose this spot because it’s right in the middle of where people live. There’s always noise coming from the street, vendors shouting and kids playing, but you get used to it. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. You just walk up the stairs and we’re there. Most days we are busy with paperwork or meeting people who drop by. The fan makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. We try to keep things simple and avoid all the fluff. It’s just practical work that needs to get done. Mumbai can be a tough place to run things, but being here in Malwani makes sense for what we do. We share the floor with a couple of other small setups. It’s a very local vibe. We like it that way because it keeps us grounded in the neighborhood and the people around us.
