Standard Rubber Works

Our shop, Standard Rubber Works, is number 7 in Lokbhavan, which is part of the Lok Bharati Complex on Marol Maroshi Road. We’ve been in Andheri (E) for a long time. It’s a busy spot with plenty of people moving around. We do rubber work here. It’s a small operation. We have a few machines and some workbenches where we handle the finishing. It’s nothing fancy, just a practical workspace. The walls are a bit stained from the years of production, but it’s a productive place. We keep our own hours mostly, starting early to beat the Mumbai heat. The traffic outside can be a real headache, especially during the rains. We’ve got a small team. Everyone knows how to handle the equipment. We don’t spend much time on the computer. Most of our day is spent actually making things. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside when we have a lot of materials delivered. We know the other shop owners in the complex. We all just try to get through the day's work. It’s a regular local business. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. Just the tools and the materials. If someone needs something made out of rubber, they usually find their way to our door. We just take it one order at a time and keep moving. We have been here so long the neighbors are like family. It’s home for us now.
