Our unit is out in Ambernath West, specifically in the Chikhloli Midc area. If you know Midc, you know it's all factories and big sheds. We are in one of those sheds where we handle rubber processing. The air always has that heavy smell of burnt rubber and chemicals, which you just get used to after a week or two. It’s a large open space with a high tin roof. When it rains, it’s so loud we can’t even hear each other talk. We have a few heavy machines and some cooling tanks. The office part is just a small cabin partitioned off with plywood and glass. It stays dusty no matter how much we clean it. We spend our days managing the labor and making sure the orders are ready on time. There’s a lot of physical work involved, moving heavy sheets and loading trucks. The roads around here are full of potholes, so the delivery drivers always complain when they have to come pick up goods. We usually have lunch together on the big wooden table in the cabin. It’s a tough environment but it’s what we know. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that looks professional. It’s just a factory floor where things get made. We start early in the morning when the air is a bit cooler and work until the sun goes down.
