Gagangiri Rubber Works

You can find us at 211 Shiv Chatrapati Chawl. We are tucked away behind the police station in Suryanagar, right off L.B.S Marg in Vikhroli West. It is a bit of a tight squeeze getting back here sometimes, especially when the main road is packed with buses and trucks. Our place is not huge, but it fits all the rubber processing stuff we need. Gagangiri Rubber Works has been operating out of this chawl for a good bit of time. There is always that distinct smell of raw rubber hanging in the air which you get used to after a few minutes. We spend most of our hours looking at molds and checking the machines. The floor is concrete and has seen a lot of wear over the years. It is a loud environment when the heavy equipment is running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. Being near the police station means it’s a fairly quiet neighborhood in terms of trouble, but the traffic on L.B.S Marg is never ending. We have a few workers who have been with us since the start. We don't do much advertising because people usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking past the chawl. It is a humble setup. We do our bits of rubber work, pack them up, and get them moved out. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult with the narrow lanes, but we manage to stay busy regardless.
