Sathi Industries is based out of U-1- Plot in the Cama Industrial Estate in Goregaon East. If you’ve ever walked through Cama, you know it’s a maze of different workshops and factories. We are one of those tucked-away places where there is always something being hammered or cut. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us are in work clothes because things get messy. We have been in this spot for a long time. The building is old but it works for what we need. We make various parts and industrial goods. There’s a lot of metal scraps around and the smell of oil is pretty much everywhere. It’s a busy atmosphere with people moving crates and checking the machines. Goregaon East has become very crowded lately, so getting deliveries in and out can be a bit of a headache during peak hours. We just start early in the morning to beat the rush. There’s a small tea stall just outside the main gate where we all go for a break. It’s a simple life of making things and shipping them out. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone like that. We just handle the orders as they come in and try to keep the machines in good shape. It’s what we know how to do. The floor is always busy and there is always something needing attention.
