Spectrum Arts

We are Spectrum Arts, based out of the Raja Industrial Estate on P.K. Road in Mulund West. You’ll find us on the first floor of building 146. Being in an industrial estate means there is always the sound of other businesses working around us—trucks loading up, hammers going, and people shouting instructions. Our space is a mix of an office and a workshop. We have benches where we work on different art projects and pieces, and there’s usually paint or some kind of material spread out across the tables. It’s not a perfectly clean studio like you might see in a magazine. There are scraps of paper, half-finished projects, and jars of brushes everywhere. We spend a lot of time experimenting with colors and trying to get a design to look right on whatever material we’re using that day. The light in here is okay, but we often have to bring in extra lamps when we’re doing fine work. Mulund West is a busy area, so getting here in the mornings can be a bit of a trek depending on the traffic. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and have gotten used to the rhythm of the estate. It’s a practical place to work, even if it gets a bit cramped when we have a big order to finish. We just keep our heads down and try to make things that look decent enough for people to use.
