Solanki Art

Our little spot is Room No 22 in Plot No 376 of the Sapta area in Kandivali West. We are quite close to the Bhavishyanidhi Bhavan which is a big building that everyone uses for navigation. This room is where we do all our art work and keep our supplies. It’s not a huge studio but it has enough light for what we need. We’ve been at this Kandivali address for several years and the walls are covered in bits of projects we’ve finished. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with paint or scraps but that’s just part of the process. We spend long hours in Room 22 especially when we have a lot of work to finish. The neighborhood around Plot No 376 is mostly residential so it stays relatively quiet during the day. We have a small radio that plays in the background while we work. People from the nearby buildings often drop in to see what we are making. We don’t have a big sign outside just the room number and the name Solanki Art. It’s a modest way to work but it suits us fine. We like being near Bhavishyanidhi Bhavan because it makes it easy for deliveries to find us. Every day is a bit different depending on what we are creating. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in our small corner of Sapta.
