Smartgaon Development Foundation

Our place is in H/305, Arabiana Casa Rio, which is right on the Kalyan Shil Road in Dombivali East. If you know Mumbai, you know how that road can get. The traffic is something else, especially in the mornings. Being in the Arabiana building means we are up on the third floor. It’s a decent spot because we can see a bit of the surrounding area from the windows. The foundation office is basically a converted apartment space. We have a kitchen area where we make coffee and a main room where we have our desks set up. It’s comfortable, but it definitely feels like a home turned into a workspace. We spend a lot of time looking out at the skyline of Dombivali. The building has that typical housing society feel to it, with neighbors coming and going and kids playing in the common areas. We moved here because it’s a central enough spot for everyone to reach. Sometimes the elevators are a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate of Casa Rio, but it’s a nice walk if the weather isn't too humid. Inside, we have maps on the wall and a few bookshelves that are starting to overflow. It’s a busy little office, but we keep it organized in our own way. We don't have any fancy receptionists or anything, just whoever is closest to the door answers it.
