Sita Flowerist

Sita Flowerist is located on 9th Main, at the 1st Cross in M G Palya. We are part of the K G Colony area in Santacruz West. It’s a bit of a residential neighborhood, so it stays relatively calm compared to the main roads. The shop is just a simple room on the ground floor. We have some shelves we put up ourselves and a big table where all the work happens. My name isn't actually Sita, but that’s what the shop has been called for as long as I can remember. We don't have any big marketing goals. We just want to make sure the flowers don't wilt before someone buys them. Santacruz West has its own feel, and we’ve lived and worked here long enough to know everyone’s business. We spend the mornings sorting through the bundles that come in from the main market. Sometimes the thorns poke through the gloves, which is annoying, but it’s just part of the day. The shop doesn't have fancy lighting or air conditioning, just a big window that we keep open to let the air in. We use plain brown paper for wrapping and simple twine. It’s just a honest, small-scale business. We stay busy with the local temple orders and the occasional birthday, and that’s enough for us to keep the doors open.
