Shrimati Shashi Foundation

Our foundation is called Shrimati Shashi Foundation and we operate out of the Rustomjee Eazezone Mall. We are down on the lower ground floor at unit 1044. It’s right across from the State Bank of India in Goregaon. Being in a mall might seem strange for a foundation, but it makes us very easy to find for anyone in the Goregaon or Mulund areas. We get a lot of foot traffic from people just going about their daily business. We started this to honor the memory of a lady who always helped others, and we try to keep that spirit alive. It’s not a big, polished operation. Our office is small and usually full of papers and people. We help out with various things like helping people understand their rights or getting local kids some extra help. Since we are in the 400064 area, we see a lot of different people from all walks of life. We don’t have a fancy board of directors. We’re just a small team of local folks who want to be useful. Sometimes it’s loud because of the mall traffic, but we like being where the people are. We don’t put on airs or try to look bigger than we are. We just want to help our neighbors in any way we can. It’s practical, everyday work that makes a difference to the families who live around here.
