Shri Niranjanbhai Thakar Development Foundation

We are based over at the Sadoday Complex, specifically in room 203. It’s right there at Darodkar Square on Central Avenue in Mahal. If you know Nagpur, you know this area is always moving and can get pretty loud with all the traffic and people going about their business. We’ve been in this office for a while now. The foundation was named after Shri Niranjanbhai Thakar and we just try to handle the day-to-day things that come up. It’s not a very big place, just a few rooms with desks and some old cabinets for our files. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of a clicking noise and the windows let in a lot of dust from the main road, but we’re used to it. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team telling us what to say. It’s just us. Most mornings start with opening up the shutters and getting some tea from the stall nearby before we start on the paperwork. We see all sorts of people walking by on Central Avenue. Being in Mahal feels right because it’s the heart of the old city. We don’t have a grand vision statement on the wall. We just show up, answer the phone, and see who needs help with what. Some days are just spent filling out forms or talking to the other folks in the building. It’s plain work, but it keeps us busy and that’s fine by us.
