Shree Mewad Jain Foundation

Shree Mewad Jain Foundation is up on the 4th floor of Cutch Castle. If you know the Opera House area in Mumbai, you know it’s a very old and famous part of the city. The building itself has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit much if the lift isn't working right. We have been here for a while, and it serves as our main hub for all the community work we do. Being in South Mumbai, we are right in the middle of all the bustle. We mostly focus on helping our community members with various needs, whether it is education or just general support. The office is usually filled with papers and people coming in to talk about their families or local events. It’s not a quiet place, but Mumbai never is. We don't have any polished brochures or fancy videos. Most of our work happens through word of mouth and people just knowing that we are here on the 4th floor. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting people face-to-face. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, but it works for us. The view from the window is just more buildings and the busy street below, but it feels like home. We are just a group of people who care about our heritage and want to make sure the foundation stays helpful to everyone who reaches out.
