Shiamak Davars Foundation

Our foundation office is located in Lower Parel at the Marathon Innova building. We are on the 9th floor in suite A 903. It is right opposite Peninsula Park, which is a busy area with lots of offices and shops around. Shiamak Davars Foundation is a busy place, but not in a corporate way. There are always people coming in and out, usually carrying bags or talking about upcoming programs. The office itself is pretty simple. We have a few rows of desks and some old cabinets for all the files we keep. Lower Parel is always full of energy, and you feel that as soon as you step off Gk Marg. The 9th floor gives us a bit of a break from the street noise, but it's still a very active environment. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything. You just walk in and see everyone working. Sometimes we have music playing, but mostly it’s the sound of typing and people on the phone. We've been in this spot for a good while. It's a practical location for us because it's so central in Mumbai. The elevators can be slow in the mornings, so we’ve learned to be patient. It’s just a regular workplace where we get things done for the foundation. We don't worry about being polished; we just focus on the tasks at hand each day. People who are involved in the arts often drop by to help.
