Shashi Smriti Foundation

Shashi Smriti Foundation is based out of Malad West. We’re in the Advent Atria building on Chincholi Bunder Road, right across from Kingston Tower. We are way up on the eighth floor in 801. It’s a decent spot in Mumbai, and you can see a bit of the city from the window. The office is usually a bit busy because there’s always something going on in Malad. We don’t have any slick marketing or a team of professional writers. It’s just us sitting at our desks, answering emails and trying to manage our foundation’s work. We focus on helping out where we see a need. Sometimes that means organizing local events or just helping a family get by. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors in the building know us. It’s a lot of paperwork, to be honest. Keeping things organized takes up most of our morning. We try to stay practical about things. If someone comes to us with a problem, we see if we have the means to help. No big promises or fancy words. The traffic on Chincholi Bunder Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually stay late to avoid it. It’s just a regular office life for a regular foundation. We don't have a big budget for decorations, so it’s mostly just shelves of folders and a few plants that we forget to water sometimes when things get extra hectic.
