Sharp Rubber Products

Sharp Rubber Products is located in Lal Mohammed Compound, right in Andheri East. We are pretty close to Amin Hotel, which is where most people stop to ask for directions if they can't find us. The compound is a bit tucked away and can get muddy when it rains. Inside the shop, it always smells like raw rubber and warm machinery. We spend the day cutting, molding, and finishing different types of rubber parts. It isn't a clean job. There is usually black dust on everything and the machines make a steady humming sound that you stop noticing after an hour. We make small things like washers and bigger items too, depending on what a customer brings us a sample of. We don’t have a sales team or a catalog. Usually, someone just shows up with a worn-out part and asks if we can make a new one just like it. My clothes usually have bits of rubber stuck to them by the end of the day. It’s a lot of manual work, checking the molds and making sure the heat is right. The space is a bit cramped with all the raw material stacked in the corners. We just keep our heads down and get the orders finished. It is honest, physical work in a part of town that never really sleeps. We’ve been here a long time and know the machines inside out. Most days are just about hitting the production numbers and keeping the equipment running.
