Setulaya Foundation

Setulaya Foundation is up on the seventh floor of the Shree Vishal Complex. We are in Flat 2/704. It’s located on Narsing Lane in Malad West. Being up on the seventh floor gives us a bit of a view, though mostly it’s just other buildings. It’s a busy area of Mumbai City, as you’d expect. The complex is quite large, so people sometimes get turned around finding the right wing. We’ve got a small office here where we do our daily work. It’s not a corporate headquarters with hundreds of staff. It’s just a few of us in a flat that we’ve turned into a workspace. We have our desks pushed up against the walls and a lot of files. The elevator in the building works most of the time, which is good since we’re so high up. We spend our days going through emails and making sure our records are in order. Malad West is a lively neighborhood, and we like being part of it. There’s always somewhere to grab a quick bite nearby. We don’t have any big mission statements plastered on the walls. We just come in, do what needs to be done for the foundation, and then head home. It’s a practical place for us to be based, and we’ve made the space work for us over the years. Just a regular bunch of people doing regular work.
