We’re located in Shop Number 6 of the Olympus Building, which sits at 179/181 Peri Nariman Street. This is right in the Fort area, so as you can imagine, it gets pretty crowded around here during office hours. Our shop is one of those small spots that’s packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of art-related things. We’ve been in this building for quite a while, and the walls have seen a lot of people come and go. Working in Fort is interesting because you get a mix of office workers and people just wandering around the old buildings. The space is a bit cramped, especially when we get a new shipment in and have to find room for all the boxes. We spend most of our day helping people find that one specific thing they need, which isn't always easy given how much stuff we have. The light in the shop isn't the brightest, but we know where every item is kept. Sometimes we have to move three things just to get to one, but that’s just how it is in these old South Mumbai shops. We keep the door open to get a bit of a breeze, even though the street noise can be quite loud. It’s a busy life here, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. If you’re walking down Peri Nariman Street, just look for the Olympus building and we are right there on the ground floor. We usually stay open until the evening rush starts to fade.
