Sarda Red Heart Foundation

We run everything out of Flat M 602 in Yashodham Enclave. It's a residential area in Prashant Nagar, so it feels more like a home than a regular office. We have turned the main living area into our workspace with two big desks and a printer that jams at least once a day. Living and working in the same complex makes things a bit informal. Neighbors sometimes pop in to say hello while we are sorting through heart health pamphlets. We keep the balcony door open to let some air in, though the dust from the plot next door can be a bit much. Most of our time is spent on the phone or working on the computer. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear casual clothes and sometimes the cat from downstairs wanders in. We've been at this location for a while and the security guards at the gate know us well. It gets quiet in the evenings which is when we get most of our writing done. There are always boxes of materials stacked in the hallway waiting to be sent out. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the doorbell rings, whoever is closest just gets up to answer it. It’s just us doing what we can from here. The plants on the balcony are finally starting to grow after months of us forgetting to water them.
