Sapna Store

Sapna Store is tucked away at Shop No 4 in the S S Musafirkhana Building, which is on A Vijay Vallabh Marg in the Fort area. Being in South Mumbai, the building has that old feel to it, with thick walls and high ceilings. Our shop is quite small, but we have managed to cram a lot of stuff into it over the years. Fort is always buzzing with office goers and tourists, so there is never a quiet moment outside on the street. We get a mix of people coming in, from folks who work in the nearby government offices to residents who have lived in the area for decades. The shop is pretty basic, with wooden shelves and a small stool for whoever is working that shift. We don't have any fancy signs or digital displays. Usually, we are busy just dusting the jars or checking what needs to be restocked from the local wholesalers. The light inside the Musafirkhana building can be a bit dim, but we have some tube lights that do the trick. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two customers come in at the same time, but everyone seems to manage. We have been here long enough to see the neighborhood change, though our little corner stays mostly the same. It is just a regular store where you can find everyday things without having to walk too far into the bigger markets.
