Sant Gajanan Cyber Cafe

I started this place on Gujri Road a while back because people in Gadchiroli needed a spot to get things done online. It is just a small shop, really. We have a few computers set up and a printer that mostly works well unless it gets too hot in the afternoon. Most days, students come in to fill out their exam forms or just print out some notes for class. It gets pretty busy around midday when everyone realizes they forgot to submit something on time. I handle the counter myself most of the time. Sometimes the internet slows down when it rains, but that is just how it is here and we all deal with it. People sit and wait, maybe chat for a bit while the pages load. It is not fancy. We have some plastic chairs and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it gets the job done for everyone. I usually stay open until late evening so people coming back from work can check their emails or get a copy of their ID. If the power goes out, we just wait for it to come back or light a candle if it’s dark. It's a simple business. I like seeing the regulars who come in every week. Sometimes I help the older folks who are not too sure how to use the mouse or find a website. It keeps me busy and helps the neighborhood stay connected in its own small way.
