We are based in Mumbai, which means we are always dealing with the city’s madness. Our daily routine involves a lot of phone calls and checking on car schedules. Being a travel service in a city like this is never boring because something is always changing. One day a road is closed for a festival, and the next day there’s a big monsoon flood to deal with. We don’t have a massive office building. It’s just a simple setup where we keep our records and coordinate with the drivers. Most of our work happens over the phone while we’re trying to figure out the best routes through the traffic. Mumbai is huge, so we spend a lot of time explaining to people why it takes so long to get from one side to the other. Our drivers are out in the heat and the rain all the time. We just try to keep the cars moving and the schedules as tight as possible, though it doesn't always work out perfectly. Sometimes a car breaks down or a driver gets sick, and we have to scramble to find a replacement. It’s a bit stressful, but we’ve been doing it long enough to not get too worried about it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get people where they need to go in the city. It’s just life in Mumbai and we are part of it.
