Sanstache Art Gallery

Our place is over in Worli, specifically around Agrahara Dasarahalli, and it’s been a bit of a journey getting it set up. Sanstache Art Gallery is basically a few rooms where we keep art we like. It’s not very big and the ceiling in the back room is a bit low, so you have to watch your head if you're tall. We spend a lot of time just sitting behind the desk waiting for the morning courier to bring in some new pieces. The street outside is always busy with people going to work, and we see the same faces every day passing the window. We try to keep the windows clean but the road dust is a bit of a losing battle. Inside, we have some wooden benches that we found a few years ago. They’re a bit creaky but they do the job for anyone who wants to sit. Most of the art we have is just from local people who need a place to show their work. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that, just some regular bulbs that we change when they flicker. It’s a simple setup. If the weather is nice, we leave the side door open to get some air inside. Usually, it’s just one of us here at a time, so if we’re in the back room, you might have to shout a bit to get our attention. It’s just a normal part of the neighborhood for us now.
