Samudra Art Gallery

I started this place at Samudra Art Gallery a while ago. We're right on the ground floor of the Sony Building, number 12, in Gamdevi. It’s not a huge place but it fits what we need. Most days I’m just here organizing things or talking to people who walk in from the street. The address is 48, Ground Floor, which is easy enough to find if you know the area. Gamdevi has changed over the years but this spot stays pretty much the same. I spend a lot of time just looking at the walls and figuring out where things should go. Sometimes the light isn't great in the morning but it gets better by noon. People ask why we are in this specific building and I just say it was available and the location felt right at the time. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road outside, but we try to keep it tidy. You just walk past the main entrance and we are right there. There isn't much of a lobby or anything fancy, just the door and then the art inside. I like being on the ground floor because I can see who is passing by. It feels connected to the neighborhood that way. If you are looking for us, just look for the number 12 sign. It's a quiet corner for the most part, except when the traffic picks up in the evening. We've been here for a bit now. It’s just how we do things here.
