We spend a lot of our time around Greenfields in Andheri East. Most people know the Majas Bus stop, so that is where we usually tell folks to head if they are looking for Samdhana Association For Animal Welfare. It is a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing. Our office is right here in B3-37. It is not a big fancy place, just a room where we keep our supplies and take calls. Lately, we have been dealing with a lot of strays around the JVLR area. The traffic can be pretty bad there, which makes it hard for the animals. We aren't doing anything flashy or looking for attention. Most days, it is just about making sure things are okay on the streets and getting food to where it is needed. We have been at this address for a while now. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with the noise from the road, but we have gotten used to it over the years. The neighbors are mostly alright with us. They see us coming and going at odd hours of the night. If you walk past the bus stop, you will probably see some of the dogs we look after. It is just what we do every day. We do not have a big team, just a few of us who care. Sometimes we run out of space, but we manage somehow. Mumbai is a tough place for animals, so we try to be there. (251 words)
