Salt Water Grill

We are situated right on Marine Drive at Chowpatty. It’s a famous stretch of road, and we get to look out at the water every day. The air is always salty, which is nice, but it also means we have to keep up with the maintenance of the place. The wind can be quite strong sometimes, blowing sand from the beach right into our front area. We spend a lot of time sweeping. It’s not a corporate office with a view; it’s just our workplace. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the crowds grow over the years. On Sunday evenings, you can hardly move on the sidewalk outside. We don't have a big mission or any fancy promises. We just open up and do our jobs. The furniture is a bit worn out from the sun and the salt, but it’s comfortable enough. We don't have a big team behind us, just a handful of people who show up every day. We aren't trying to compete with the big places further down the drive. We are just a local spot where people can find us. Sometimes the traffic noise is so loud we have to shout to be heard, but that’s just part of life at Chowpatty. We don't have any promotional gimmicks. We just keep the lights on and wait for the evening rush.
