Rukus Gallery

We are located in Building No C/29, part of the Jeevan Rachn complex in Andheri West. It's quite close to the Koja Jamat Khana, which is how most people find their way to us. Rukus Gallery is a small spot, nothing too grand, but it serves its purpose for showing work. The neighborhood is busy, so there’s always noise from the street, but that’s just Andheri for you. We’ve been set up here for a bit now. The gallery space isn't huge, but we make the most of the walls we have. Sometimes the front door sticks a little when it's humid out. We don't have a fancy team of curators or anything; it’s just us keeping the place open and hanging pieces up. Most days we are just shuffling things around or talking to whoever walks in from the street. It’s a straightforward setup. No big corporate backing or polished marketing plans. We just like having a space where people can see what’s being made. If you’re coming by, it’s easier to just look for the Jamat Khana landmark. The building itself is older, but it has some character. We spend most of our time here, either cleaning up after a show or getting ready for the next one. It's a real, working gallery space without all the extra fuss you see in the bigger art districts. We usually have some tea going if you catch us at the right time.
