Rukis Arts

Our place, Rukis Arts, is located in Juhu Omkar Society, room 704. We are in the Seve Andheri West area, right opposite Vinit Tower. It’s a residential society, so it’s not like a regular shop on the street. We do a lot of our artistic work right from here. It’s a bit of a personal space where we create different pieces and handle orders. Being in Andheri West is great because there’s so much energy and other creative people around. We mostly work on specific art projects that people ask us for. It’s not a corporate studio with lots of staff. It’s just us working on what we love. Sometimes the place is a mess with paints, brushes, and materials scattered around, but that’s how art happens. We don't follow a very strict schedule; we work when there’s a project to finish. People usually call us first before coming over since we are in a society building. It’s a bit more relaxed than a retail store. We like the view from the seventh floor; it gives us a bit of a break when we look out the window. We’ve been at this address for a while and the neighbors are used to us and our supplies coming in and out. We don’t do any big advertising. Word of mouth from people who like our work is usually enough to keep us busy with new things to make. It is a quiet way to run an art business but it works well.
