Rise Edge Foundation

Rise Edge Foundation is located at Plot No. L-1 in the Erandwana Society. We are right near Mangeshkar Hospital, so it’s a landmark that everyone in Pune knows. Our office is inside a residential society, which makes the whole vibe very different from a typical business district. It’s a bit more peaceful, except for the occasional ambulance siren or the sound of traffic from the main road. We started this because we wanted to give people in the area a bit of an edge in their lives, whether that’s through learning a new skill or just getting some advice. The office is basically a converted room with a lot of light coming through the windows. We don't have a professional cleaning crew or a front desk person. We take turns sweeping up and making sure things are tidy. We spend our time meeting with locals who stop by after visiting the hospital or while they are out for a walk. It’s a very casual environment. We don't wear suits and we don't use corporate jargon. We just talk about what’s happening in the neighborhood and how we can help. Being in Erandwana Society feels like being part of a big family, and we try to bring that same feeling to the work we do every day without making it complicated.
