Rashmi Rubber Products

Our place is at 107 Goregaon East, right on the 3rd Main Road. We deal with rubber products, so the air usually has that specific smell of burnt rubber and industrial machines. It is not a place for people who like to stay clean because there is always some grease or soot around. We have a few old machines that have been running for years and they make a lot of noise throughout the day. The workshop is organized in a way that only we really understand, with boxes of gaskets and seals stacked up to the ceiling. We spend our time checking the molds and making sure the rubber sets correctly. The 3rd Main Road is a busy area for small factories like ours, so there is always a lot of movement and people carrying crates around. We have a small wooden table where we sit to have our tea and talk about the day's orders. It is a simple operation and we don't try to make it look like something it isn't. We just focus on getting the dimensions right so the parts fit whatever machine they are going into. The floor is concrete and has some cracks from the heavy equipment, but it serves its purpose. We have been in Goregaon for a long time and we like the practical feel of the neighborhood.
