Raintree Foundation (India)

Khar West is always moving. We are at Regency Terrace, specifically in Flat 504. Being on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding buildings. 17th Road is quite busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. The address is a bit long to write out, especially with Chitrakar Dhurandhar Marg in there. It’s more of an apartment building than a strict office tower, so it has a different feel. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee. The elevator can be a bit finicky sometimes, so we end up waiting a while or just taking the stairs if we aren't carrying too much. The foundation work happens right here at the desks we have squeezed into the rooms. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Most of the neighbors are families, so we try to keep the noise down. Sometimes the rain hits the windows pretty hard during the monsoon. We’ve got some old files stacked in the corners because there’s never enough shelf space. It’s just a regular spot in Mumbai where we come to do our bit. Not much to look at, but it’s our home base for now. We usually order lunch from the local places nearby. It’s simple and it works for what we need to get done every day.
