Raechelle Parera

My name is Raechelle Parera and I operate out of Flat No 4 in the Flamingo Cooperative society in Malad West. It is a residential building, so it has a much different feel than a commercial office block. Working from a home-based setup means things are a bit more personal and quiet. The 400064 area of Malad is quite lively, but once you get inside the gates of Flamingo, it settles down a bit. The room I use for my work is simple, with enough space for my desk and the documents I need to keep track of. It’s a comfortable environment where I can really focus on the tasks at hand without the typical distractions of a big office. Sometimes the neighbors are out in the hallway or you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood drifting in through the window. I’ve lived and worked in Malad for a while now, and I like the pace of life here. It’s convenient for people to visit when they need to drop off something or have a quick chat about a project. The flat isn't set up like a storefront; it’s just a regular living space where professional work happens every day. I keep my own hours and manage everything myself, from the paperwork to the actual client work. It’s a straightforward way of doing things that fits my life well.
