Priyanka Vani

I’ve been working out of this space in the Poddar Building for many years now. It’s located at 12114 Sandhut Road, which is right off Juhu Road in Santa Cruz West. The building is directly opposite Sandhurst Station, so I hear the trains coming and going all day long. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai. Priyanka Vani is the name on the door, but it’s just me and a small amount of help. The office is nothing fancy. It’s an old building with high ceilings and some old wooden furniture that I’ve had since the start. Santa Cruz is a place that has changed so much, but this little corner feels like it’s stayed in the past a bit. I don't really have a big staff or a polished website. Most people find me through word of mouth or by just seeing the sign when they get off the train. It gets quite noisy during the rush hour, and the street outside is always packed with people heading to the station. I do my work, answer the phone, and meet with people who drop by. There is no corporate polish here, just a lot of old files and a computer that is a bit slow. I like the routine of being here. It’s an honest way to spend the day, and I know many of the other shop owners in the area. We all just do our bit.
