Primona Art Gallery

Primona Art Gallery is situated in the State Bank of India building, at number 533 in Khar West. We are right in the Dabholi Chowk Bazar area, which is next to the McDonalds. It’s a very busy part of town with a lot of shops and people walking around. Inside the gallery, it’s a bit different from the noisy market outside. We have various pieces of art and frames hanging on the walls. It’s not a massive space, but we try to use the walls well. People often wander in after eating next door or doing their banking. We spend our time looking after the artwork and talking to anyone who stops by to look. The lighting has to be just right, even if the building itself is a bit older. It’s a simple setup where the focus is on what’s hanging on the walls rather than fancy furniture. Being in Khar West means we get a mix of locals and people just passing through. Sometimes we are busy arranging new displays, and other times it’s just quiet. We don't put on big fancy shows every week. It’s just a local gallery where art is kept and shown. The street outside is always loud, but once you step inside, the atmosphere changes a little bit. We try to keep things clean and organized so the paintings look their best. It's a lot of dusting and making sure everything is straight.
