My place is over at 69 Cumballa Hill, in the Peacock Palace building. It’s right across from the American Consulate, so it’s a very well-known spot in this part of the city. I’ve been working from here for quite a long time now. Cumballa Hill is a busy neighborhood with a lot of history and old buildings. The building itself has been around for many years. I don’t run a big company with lots of employees and departments. It’s mostly just me and a small bit of help when things get too busy. I handle things personally and keep my own records the old-fashioned way. The office is a simple room where I can focus on my work without too many distractions. It’s not meant to impress anyone, just a place to get things done every day. I see the traffic moving outside on the main road all day long. Being near the consulate means there's always security and plenty of people walking around. I’ve lived and worked in Mumbai my whole life. I prefer things to stay simple and direct. I don't use much fancy technology if I can help it. A good desk and a reliable phone are usually enough for what I do. People know where to find me if they need something done. It’s a quiet corner in a very loud city. I try to keep everything organized, though my desk sometimes gets a bit messy with various papers. That's just how I work.
