Pimpleshwar Mahadev Foundation

We’re located over in the Kalachowky area of Mumbai. You have to head to G D Ambekar Marg and look for the Sant Prasad Yadav Chawl. We are on the 5th floor, specifically at Plot A25/32. It’s a busy neighborhood, full of life and constant movement. Being in a chawl means we are right in the middle of everything. It’s not your typical corporate office with elevators and glass doors. It’s more of a real, lived-in space. The Pimpleshwar Mahadev Foundation has been here for a while, and we’ve become part of the local scenery. The stairs up to the fifth floor can be a bit of a climb, but it keeps us fit. Once you get up here, it’s a bit quieter than the street level. We have our files and our desks all squeezed in. It gets warm in the summer, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. We see the same faces every day, and everyone knows everyone else’s business around here. It’s a very human way to work. We don't spend money on expensive decor because we’d rather just use what we have. Our office is a place where work gets done in between conversations with neighbors. It’s a bit cluttered, sure, but it feels like home to us. That’s just how things are at our Kalachowky spot. We keep the kettle going for anyone who stops by to say hello.
