Panjri Husainmian

Up on the 2nd floor of Bldg-288, in Room-33, is where Panjri Husainmian is. This is in Mumbai, Maharashtra, with the 400001 pin code. That’s right in the old heart of the city. If you know that area, you know the buildings are old and have a lot of history. Building-288 is one of those places. It isn't fancy. The hallways are narrow and the stairs have seen a lot of feet over the years. My space is in Room-33. It’s a small room, but it’s enough for what I do. Being on the second floor means I’m a bit away from the direct street noise, but you can still hear the city breathing outside. South Mumbai has a different vibe than the suburbs. It feels more crowded and more urgent. I spend my days here among my ledgers and tools. There is no air conditioning or glass partitions. It’s just a room with a desk and some chairs. I’ve been here for a while, and the walls have a few cracks, but it’s solid. People come by when they need something, and we talk face to face. It’s a very traditional way to run a business. I don’t have a website or any big advertisements. Panjri Husainmian is just a name on a door in an old building. It is a humble way to work, but it’s been working for me. It’s just how things are in this part of town. No fluff, just work.
