Smile Confectionerss

Smile Confectionerss is based at 3013 in the Bhandup Industrial Estate, which is part of the Panalal Compound on LBS Marg. The compound is always full of activity, with trucks backing in and out and people moving pallets around. Our unit is where all the baking and sweet-making happens. As soon as you step inside, you can smell the sugar and the ingredients we use. It is a very busy atmosphere with the sound of the ovens and the mixers going all day long. We have a group of dedicated workers who have been with us for a long time, and they really know their way around the kitchen. We do not have a fancy front office or a place to display our products to the public. Most of what we make goes straight into boxes and onto trucks to be sold elsewhere. Sometimes the floors get a bit sticky and there is flour everywhere, but we make sure to scrub everything down at the end of the day. The ledger books are kept in a small wooden cabinet in the corner. We do not spend money on big ads or marketing. We just believe that if we make something people like to eat, the business will take care of itself. It is a lot of hours on our feet, but we like the work.
