Down on Tembe Pada Road in Bhandup West, you'll find us at Prabhavati Niwas. We go by Neha Candy. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us working in the back near Sai Vihar. The smell of sugar is pretty much stuck in our clothes at this point. We make sweets and small candies that people around here know. It’s not a big factory or anything like that. Just a local spot where we boil the sugar and set the molds. Sometimes the humidity makes things sticky, which is a bit of a pain, but we manage. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a bit now, and we see the same faces passing by every morning. We don't have a big marketing team or a shiny website. Mostly, people just hear about us from their neighbors or stop in because they live nearby. The shop isn't much to look at, just practical. We spend our days wrapping things and making sure the batches turn out okay. It gets busy during the festivals, and we all have to put in extra hours then. It’s just how it goes in a place like this. Bhandup is a crowded place, but we like our little corner here. If you're walking past the Sai Vihar area, the sweet smell usually tells you where we are. We just keep it simple and keep the machines running.
