New Mahalakshmi Stores

We are located at No. 13 in the Bhimdiwala Building right on L N Road in Matunga East. It’s a small store, and if you aren’t looking for us, you might almost walk past. We’ve got shelves packed with all sorts of things—spices, rice, cleaning supplies, and some household items that people realized they ran out of at the last minute. The space is a bit tight, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you’re walking through the aisles. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building itself has a lot of history. Most of our customers are folks who live right here in Matunga and have been coming to us for years. We know who likes which brand of tea and who’s going to ask for a discount on their bulk orders. It’s a typical neighborhood shop. Sometimes the delivery guys arrive all at once and the sidewalk gets a bit blocked with crates and bags. We don't have a website or any fancy checkout systems; we just use a simple bill book and a calculator. It’s a busy life, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work and stops in for a few things. We just try to keep the staples in stock so nobody leaves empty-handed. It’s not a big supermarket, just a local store where we know your name and what you usually need.
