My place is over at Malti Apartment, unit 256 in Malad West. It’s right near Mith Chowky, which most people around here know because of the heavy traffic and the market nearby. I decided to set things up here because it’s a central spot and easy for people to find once they get off the main road. It is just an apartment, so it doesn’t look like a big commercial building from the outside. Inside, it is just a normal workspace where I spend most of my hours. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it’s a neighbor, other times it’s someone looking for help with work. Malad is always moving, and being near the chowky means there is never a quiet moment, but that’s okay. I’ve been in this apartment for a good amount of time now. I don’t have any big signs or bright lights outside. It’s just Neelam Pathak on the door. I try to keep everything organized, though with the amount of papers and files I have, it gets a bit messy sometimes. People usually just come by, sit down, and we talk about what needs doing. It’s a simple way of running things without much fuss. If you’re looking for a shiny office, this isn’t it, but it’s where I get everything done. It works for me and the people who come to see me.
