Ncourage Social Enterprise Foundation

We’re over in Andheri East, at the Leela Business Park on the ground floor. It’s in the East Wing. Being on Andheri Kurla Road means it’s always loud with the metro and the traffic outside. The Ncourage Social Enterprise Foundation is basically a group of us trying to run projects that actually help people in their daily lives. We don't act like a big corporate firm even though we're in a business park. Our office is pretty basic. We spend our time working on different social ventures. Some are about creating jobs, some are about helping small shops. It’s a mix. We don’t have a set script for how things should go. We just try things and see if they work. If they don't, we try something else. It’s a bit messy sometimes. We’ve got stacks of papers and people coming in and out all day. Mumbai is a tough place to get things started, but we like being here in the middle of it. The team is just regular folks who wanted to do something useful with their time. We aren’t looking for awards or anything. We just want to see these little enterprises we help actually survive the first few years. It’s practical, everyday work. We drink a lot of coffee, talk to a lot of different people, and just keep the door open at the Leela Business Park for whoever needs to talk or brainstorm an idea.
