Nazo Art is located at 19/36 Chinchpokli in the Apsara Mansion building, which people sometimes call Lucky House. It is an old structure and you can feel the history in the walls when you walk inside. Our workspace is pretty crowded with all the supplies we need for the day. There are brushes in jars and stacks of materials piled up on the wooden tables. We spend a lot of time just getting things ready before we actually start working on anything. The windows here are a bit small, so we rely on some old lamps to see what we are doing when the sun goes down. Chinchpokli is a lively neighborhood and there is always some sound coming from the street below, whether it is a rickshaw or neighbors talking. We’ve stayed in this same spot because it feels right to be part of the local mix. It isn't a showroom or a fancy gallery. It’s just where we do our work and keep our tools. Some days are slow and we just sit and organize the drawers, while other days we are busy from start to finish. We don't have a big sign outside, but people find us eventually. The floorboards creak a little when you move around, but we don’t mind. It’s a practical space for us to stay focused. We try to keep things tidy, but art stuff tends to get everywhere no matter what we do. Anyway, it’s just our daily life here.
