Mumbai Forum For Young People

We are located at 16, Mumbai Samachar Marg, right in the Fort area. Our office is specifically in Sir Vithaldas Chambers, room 517. Being in Fort means we’re surrounded by all those old, beautiful colonial buildings and a lot of history. The streets around here are always narrow and packed with people, especially near the bank buildings and the old courts. Our building has that classic Mumbai feel—high ceilings, a slow elevator that makes weird noises, and heavy wooden doors. Inside 517, it’s a bit of a squeeze. We have desks tucked into every available corner. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with papers and old flyers everywhere, but we know where everything is. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of those modern glass partitions. It’s just one big room where we all sit together. The windows look out over the street, and we can hear the tea seller calling out from below. We spend a lot of time talking and planning things out on a big whiteboard that's stained from years of use. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear whatever is comfortable and usually have lunch at our desks while we work. People come in and out all day, mostly younger folks looking for information or just stopping by to say hello. It’s a busy, cramped, and very lively place to be every day when we get started.
