We are right on the Western Express Highway, which is basically a never-ending stream of cars and trucks. It gets really dusty here in Kandivali East, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down with old rags. Being opposite the T area makes it easy for people to find us, but the noise from the traffic never really stops. The shop is a bit small for all the things we want to do, but we make it work by being careful with the space. Most days, we are just out there on the floor, moving items around or talking to someone who stopped their bike to have a quick look. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just a regular shop where you can see the work happening right in front of you. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall across the road in small glasses. The guys working here have been around for years and they know the neighborhood like the back of their hand. It gets dark early in the winter months, and we put up some basic lights so people can see us clearly from the highway. It’s a simple life, honestly. We don't do much in terms of fancy stuff or big displays. We just open up in the morning and stay until the sun goes down and the traffic thins out. Every day is a bit different.
