Modern Arts is located at J/2 Mahim Chinasandra Layout on the Kenkeri Main Road. We are directly opposite the Abhyudaya Co Operative Bank Ltd, which makes it pretty simple for people to find us. I’ve been at this spot for quite a bit now. The shop isn't anything fancy but it’s home to me. I usually spend my mornings getting everything set up before the sun gets too high in the sky. There’s a lot of activity on Kenkeri Main Road so there is always something to look at out the front window. Inside it's a bit more peaceful. We have our tools and materials laid out on the benches. It might look a bit cluttered to an outsider but it's a working space for us. I don't really believe in having a polished office because that's not who we are. We are just people who like working with our hands. My nephew comes in after school to help me tidy up the floors sometimes. He's not very good at it yet but he tries his best. We get customers from all over the Chinasandra Layout area. Some stay for a long chat and some are in a hurry to get back to work. I like the ones who stay a bit. It makes the day go faster. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just hope that if we do a decent job people will tell their friends. That’s how we’ve stayed open this long opposite the bank.
